Jenny's Christmas Stockings

This Page shows a number of finished and unfinished Christmas stockings that were Jenny's work for Christmas 2002.
For this stocking, Jenny was mainly experimenting with the use of the colours red and blue, and the construction of the dragonfly on the central panel. The seams are finished using a variety of Crazy Patch stitches.
For this stocking, Jenny pasted a number of pieces of fabric from ties on backing fabric, using visyplex, and then finished all seams in herringbone.
Jenny is a member of an internet discussion group for Crazy Patchwork called the Southern Cross Crazies. As part of a Round Robin organised through this group, she pieced this stocking and then it went through the hands of five others from the group (including a "guest member" in America), who embellished the stocking. In the meantime, Jenny worked on each of their stockings in turn. It was then returned to Jenny for finishing.
